With an agricultural industry made up of various enterprises such as hay, horses, grains, dairy, beef, sheep, goats, vegetables, fruits, wine, herbs, honey, maple syrup, and more, our farmers offer a wide array of products to suit many tastes. In addition, many of our farms accept visitors, so feel free to set up an appointment to meet a farmer to learn about the importance of this industry in our part of the world. We’re located high in the Appalachian Mountains of extreme Western Maryland. We’re in horticultural zone 5, with an elevation of around 2,500 to almost 3,000 feet. Our climate makes our growing season rather unique, with a short and cooler growing season than the rest of Maryland. |
