Deep Creek Cellars![]() Deep Creek Cellars is a boutique-scale winery in northern Garrett County emphasizing artisanal wines from grapes that reflect their soil and site. In our vineyard, we use sustainable farming practices for "natural wine-making" — grapes grown with minimal sprays and farming inputs; primarily wild yeast fermentations; and little or no sulfites. We also make similarly low-tech wines from grapes grown in two other Maryland climate zones: classic Pinot Noir from a limestone ridge-top near Cumberland, with Riesling and other varietals from quartz-rich soils in central Maryland.
Sample European-style country wines in the cozy tasting room, or enjoy a three-state view from the vineyard of Garrett County’s only winery. Learn about methods of sustainable grape growing and artisan winemaking from owners Paul Roberts and Nadine Grabania. All wines, as well as regional artwork, crafts and food items are available for sale. Tastings are free for groups fewer than six. For groups larger than six, and for tours, please call ahead. Picnic facilities available. Hours of operation vary by season (and on holidays); please call or visit our website.
